Commissioned by Smee, a member of my roleplay community, to help me in paying off the cost of my new tablet (Thank you! *hug*). This is a future scene he plans for SatAMStH of his characters Matt and Liz. This picture really took me out of my comfort zones, and overall I'm pleased with the outcome.

My main goal here was to really drive home the emotion and make it as powerful feeling as I could. I spent a looot of time focusing on their faces for this reason. I also really wanted to try to portray how I picture roboticization too... something excruciatingly painful and traumatic. I especially wanted to try playing with the idea of how flesh transforming into metal might look.

Basically, I had way more fun with this than I probably should have *roffle*

Technical aspects... I realize that, depth-wise Matt is positioned wrong. This was somewhat intentional. Where he placed in front of the machine where he probably should be he would have covered up Liz a lot more, which would cover up and take away a lot of the emphasis I put on the roboticization process itself - plus changing it after sketching it out would have been difficult with the positioning of their heads (Matt's expression was hard enough to get right. I have difficulty drawing heads from that angle). His arm I left off just because I felt I could cheat from that angle and putting it in sort of muddied things up.

I was allowed some freedom with Matt's design, so I gave him more grey wolf-esque markings than he originally had. I'm not sure about the said markings though. They look good from behind but I'm questioning whether they'd look as good from the front... especially with how plain his legs are. Hmm. I wound up giving Liz bracers and an amulet to balance out her color scheme as well.
